Growers are reluctant to grow traditional impatiens due to a problem with downy mildew which has become prevalent in the plants.
A great alternative is the “Divine Impatiens” line which establishes quickly in the landscape. Divine impatiens grow best in partial sun to shade. The plants are showy and are heat tolerant, blooming all summer.
